This authentic detached house was built in 1930 in Brazilian style. The house was modernized about 10 years ago into a comfortable house. It consists of a ground floor with living room with conservato-ry, cloakroom, toilet, spacious kitchen, technical room/utility room, (modest) bedroom and a small office. Next to the technical room is a garage/workshop with half a floor. The first floor is reached via a staircase, and there is a spacious bathroom with shower and bath and two bedrooms (formerly three) each with a balcony. There is also a guest house (studio) with an indoor and outdoor kitchen and a bathroom with shower. Attached to the guest house is a barn with beautiful slate walls, consist-ing of two rooms. In one of them is a bread oven. The registered living area is approximately 261 m². The built area is 385m².
How are the amenities?
In the modernization, the house has double glazed aluminium windows, floor insulation and floor heat-ing on the ground floor (except the bedroom) and central heating throughout the house. The power lines have also been replaced. Hot water is partly obtained through solar panels.
The house is connected to mains water, drainage is in a septic tank. For irrigation there is a bore hole. There is internet via fibre optic.
The house is situated on a fairly flat plot with a registered area of 3.880 m², which is arranged as an attractive ornamental garden and orchard with an interesting variety of trees and fruit trees such as pear, apple, plum, cherry, apricot, grape, kiwi and olive. Behind the house are a pond (formerly a granite water tank) and a swimming pool (8×4 m). The area around the house and the pool is paved with cobblestones and tiles. The land is fenced/walled and the property is closed with an automatic gate.
The house is private but not isolated. From the house and the garden there is a beautiful and wide view of the Serra da Estrela and the Serra de Açor.
Where is it?
The domain is located in the village of Bogalhas. The accessibility is good via a quiet paved village road. Bogalhas itself has no facilities, but about 1.5 km away is the village of Meda de Mouros and there are a few cafes and a small grocery store. Côja is about 5 km away, here you will find various amenities such as shops, school, bakery, cafes, restaurants and a river beach. Tábua is about 10 km away. Tábua is a small provincial town with all the main amenities, such as restaurants, shops, su-permarkets, post office, banks, medical practice, schools, swimming pool, library and weekly market. A train station is about 15 minutes’ drive away and the larger city of Coimbra is about 60 km away.
