What is it?
This granite manor house can be seen as one of the most beautiful authentic houses of Tábua. The house probably dates from the beginning of the last century and has changed little since then and is very well maintained. The house has two floors of 134 m² each. The living floor is on the first floor and consists of 3 bedrooms, a sitting room, a dining room, a bathroom with bath and a kitchen. A corridor runs through the center. The kitchen and hallway open onto a covered terrace with stairs leading down. The storage areas are on the ground floor. The house is in good habitable condition but could use some modernization on a number of parts.
How about the facilities?
The house is connected to electricity and mains water, but it also has its own well. Wastewater is collected in a septic tank, but the sewage system runs through the street and the house can be connected to it if desired.
The living area of the house has been fitted with aluminium windows with double glazing several years ago.
The house lies on a nice flat plot of approximately 1.200 m². In front of the house the outdoor space is an ornamental garden and behind the house is a richly stocked vegetable garden with fruit trees. The land is walled / fenced.
For people who like authentic Portuguese houses, this house can be a hit. Various elements make this house so special, such as beautifully decorated ceilings, stained glass in the hallway, elegant roof, granite pillars and window frames. And besides that, the location is also special. The house is close to all amenities and yet is free and private. Both the house and the ground offer a beautiful view over the green of the mountains.
Where is it?
The house is located in the village of Quintela. The accessibility is good via a paved road. Quintela itself has no amenities but Tábua is only 1 km away. In this small provincial town all important facilities are present such as restaurants, shops, supermarkets, post office, banks, doctors practice, hospital (Oliveira do Hospital), schools, library, bus station and weekly market. The larger city of Coimbra is about 65 km away.
