Detached house with fertile land, Covas, Tábua

What is it?
This detached house is originally an old granite house that has largely retained its original character. The house is in good condition and immediately habitable. It consists of a sitting room, a kitchenette, a dining room, two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom. The living area is 90 m². The room on the ground floor is a large, cool space, with a modest wine cellar next to it. On top of a part of the house is a roof terrace with a view of the mountains. The house has a 45m² garage (not registered).

How about the facilities?
The house is connected to electricity. It has a well that provides the house with water but connection to the municipal water supply is also possible; the water pipe runs past the house. The drain is via a septic tank.

Outdoor space?
The terrace on the ground floor enjoys leafy shadow thanks to grape vines and fruit trees. Here is also a covered brick barbecue. The corresponding land is about 5,000 m², located on either side of the road. It is fertile soil on which various fruit trees, vines and olive trees grow. The current owners have a rich vegetable garden. Part of the land is fenced.

The house is rural without being isolated. It lies on the east and south so it’s sunny almost all day.

Where is it?
House and garden are about 3 km from Covas, a village with a school (up to 6 years) and a few cafes. Larger places are Tábua and Oliveira do Hospital, at about 10 km away. In these small provincial towns all important facilities are present such as restaurants, shops, supermarkets, post office, banks, medical practice, hospital (Oliveira do Hospital), schools, library, bus station and weekly market. The larger city of Coimbra is about 65 km away.
