What is it?
This detached house was built in the late 1980s and enlarged in the 1990s. The base of the original part is made of granite. The living area consists of two parts. On the first floor you find a kitchen, a living room, two bedrooms, two smaller rooms and a bathroom. The surface of this floor is approximately 105 m². The attic can be reached via a staircase. The ground floor consists of a spacious kitchen-diner, a bedroom and a bathroom. The area of this part is approximately 60m². On the ground floor are also a large storage and work space and a garage of approximately 14 m².
How are the facilities?
The house is connected to electricity, it has a septic tank for drainage and is connecte to the municipal water supply. The windows are fitted with shutters and part of them have double glazing. Hot water is obtained through a geyser. In the living area downstairs is a pellet stove; on the first floor the living room is heated with a fireplace and the kitchen with a wood stove.
The house has a flat plot of approximately 860m². On it grow many mature fruit trees such as orange, lemon, fig, plum, apricot, apple and pear. Part of the ground is paved. The plot is walled / fenced.
Where is it?
The house is located at the outskirts of the village of Barras. The accessibility is good via a paved road. Barras itself has no amenities but Tábua is only 2 km away. In this small provincial town all important facilities are present such as restaurants, shops, supermarkets, post office, banks, doctors’ practice, schools, library, bus station and weekly market. The larger city of Coimbra is about 65 km away.
